Question Meme!
Ochre broke 14k and Ishi broke 2k, so why not?
Also, I just love doing relationship babbling, and this is more organized than plurk SO.
AMA!
I play Kanji Tatsumi//Ochre on Tiamat, Kian Alvane//Ishiyama on Epona, and maybe a quasitrama echo, I need to get that app sorted out.

Like- if Ed told Ochre to jump off a cliff on a regular day, Ochre would question it a little, but likely jump off the cliff. That said, if Ed told Ochre to jump off a cliff in a game- Ochre would assume that Ed has a plan, and would be flying off that cliff by the time Ed finishes his request.
It's bad, man. SHIT'S WEIRD. Ochre straight up assumes Ed is just. The smartest person in Kyr, and trusts him with pretty much anything. Half the time Ochre doesn't understand a word Ed is saying, but he knows that Ed will translate to 'normal people speak' as soon as he gets it out in his native language- 'nerd talk'.
And, like. He doesn't really understand??? Ed dating more than one person??? But everyone seems happy, so... Which is a missed opportunity on my part, since if Lapisheart hadn't gone down like that, Ochre would have gone to Ed for advice on asking Lapis out.
So, OChre trusts Ed to know basically everything about everything- except Shadows. Ochre knows shadows, and Ed's an idiot, shadows are things, not people.
SO SHADOCHRE, RIGHT? He hates Ed. Like, straight up HATES him. It's bitter. Because Shadochre was 'Loyalty' as his defining trait, and Ed forced him to pick between 'Loyalty to Tiamat' and 'Loyalty to the Queen' and Shadochre hates him for that. HATE. He hates his dumb face and his stupid logic, and the bullshit way he keeps twisting his words to imply Shadochre is less of a person than anyone else- So much bile filled hatred, here.
Reverse~!

He's also SUPER GLAD that Ochre and Lapis finally got to confessing to each other. GO YOU TWO be a stable couple and
give us incredibly strong connections to other teams whilebeinghappy together! He does worry that Ochre will have a moment of realizing that Ed is still human. And he worries that it will bite him in the rear when it comes.
AS FOR SHADOCHRE... so like.
OKAY SO ED DOESNT DISLIKE SHADOCHRE. He is curious because he shouldn't exist and yet he does, and he's concerned because if they kill Nyssa without killing Shadochre (something he's not 100% sure they'll be able to do in the first place, but) he thinks that Shadochre's existence would collapse, the same way that Yaksinis's subecho did when she went away. Or Sepsis's. Or any of the others. So he has a vested interest in seeing what the extent of Shadochre's autonomy is because if he is a separate living entity then killing him is really bad news--but if he's not then there's no reason not to since Nyssa's basically going to die in any path he can see from here forward. To that end, he asks earnest questions and says earnest things that really piss shadochre off, and he's realized that there's not really a way that the relationship will ever be civil.
Which. He's fine with. Because he's actually comfortable with playing the bad guy if it'll help someone grow as a person, or help his team, or whatever--he used to play the villain a lot for Tiamat's sake back in the beginning since explaining himself just made it worse. So he will just prod at Shadochre and poke at him and carefully see if he can encourage him to grow as a person, even if it's just to prove that fluffy headed asshole wrong.
And in the end he's also kinda laying groundwork for a possible BSOD moment at a critical moment. Ed figures that he is, to shadochre, a backstabbing asshole who ruined his innocence when he was new to the world and constantly questions the nature of his existence and insists he's something far worse than what he is, going out of his way to prove it at every available opportunity and never seeming as though he's anything but smugly certain of himself.
...Now add 'also she kills us a lot.' And think who the wisps would think of in a similar way for similar reasons. 8D
SO IT'S. COMPLICATED. Wizards, man.
did shadochre feel bad when he found out pearl got mirror'd?

Who would tell him this? When would they have told him this? He's been in the tower, dude. Doing Shadowy things. And people just attack him on sight because they are Rude.
That said, if he ever finds out- if anyone is Nice and Kind enough to tell him that she's gone, he'll probably be sad. :< She was weird and confusing and kinda freaked him out, but at least she didn't attack him on sight, unlike SOME WISPS.
Pearl's thoughts on shadochre?

'It's close, but I still win tho.'
She doesn't trust him, for what it's worth, but she also doesn't dislike the guy and he's a possible business partner, so. Y'know how it is. BRO IT UP YO.

Because he still thinks he's banned from Henwen.
Because of that, he's really cautious and plans on Treating Her Properly- whatever the hell that means, he honestly has no idea. The 'asking her out on a date' thing was a spur of the moment decision, and he has no idea where he wants it to go, especially since he's still aware that neither of them remember anywhere close to everything yet, so he's still got that worry that she's actually together with protag, and that they're probably not going back to the same world when this is all said and done (blame ed for that one) and he's just not thinking about the future at all.
At all.
That said, he'd kinda like to show her the Caretaker's realm, since it's damn cool.
Reverse me on this one, I want to knoooow

She's pretty sure that he's going to realize that she is boring and probably not really that great to spend time with. From the group of memories she has back, she's not completely sure if they were together back at home, but she does know that she doesn't have any particular feelings for Protag. She knows she does like him at home, and to be honest, she likes him even more in Kyr. She's seen what he's capable of, and respects and likes it, even though sometimes she doesn't understand it. He's one of two people in Kyr she'd do literally anything for without any reservations. If it ever comes down to it, she'll die for him without question. After her Thousand Curses memory, which she'll never show him, she feels like she owes him.
Really, she doesn't even know how much she cares for him. He's her best friend, the person she goes to first, and the person she'd want to stick with if things truly went to hell (or Nyssa). She's just so crap at emotions that she doesn't know how to express the depth of what she feels for him. That's why the plushie in her heart. It's almost a childish inability to express herself. But at the back of her head she damn well knows that what she's feeling for him is actually love.
If or when she realizes that they actually are from different worlds, she's likely to see if she can find some way to combine the two, because she doesn't want to go home to a version of him who doesn't know, and can't be there for her, and might not even care for her in the same way. She'll be determined to find a way to make it work. Somehow.

Unchanged, he's still really???? confused???? and is likely to stay that way forever. He's kinda over the whole 'broke his tiny and three day old heart' thing, but still. What the hell even are you, Maya.
Ishiyama ==> Maya
DEPENDS ON THE END OF THIS THREAD AND HOW MUCH MAYA WILL TRY TO WIGGLE OUT OF THIS CONVERSATION.
But, other than that, Ishiyama respects her. Anyone who's been around in Kyr as long as she has, and can still be as cheerful as she is, is someone who is damn strong. He kind of sees her as the- emotional lynchpin of Epona, so to speak. He can see how much she, and her opinions, matter to the people around here, and he's careful about how he acts and treats her as a response.
Also, pepper spray. You must respect the pepper spray, although now he just wants to get her going on some real weapons. A dagger at least.
Maybe throwing knives, like Yukine has. They could learn together, like a real team.

But,no, for real, his morality and the way he views the world is so skewed, it's hilarious.

But after that she'd proven herself to not. jump to conclusions and try to attack the woofdad. So he loosened the hell up, and let himself get excited about having one of his off-team teammates on the team. As for how he feels about her right now- she's definitely one of the people he's closest to on the team proper, her and Ed, and Ed's a special canon specific case. Even though they clash and misunderstand each other and have their conflicts, at the end of the day he knows she has his back, and he feels like utter shit for yelling at her in that last game.
She's getting a massive plushie pile, seriously.
But, yeah, Hiyo is someone that ochre feels like he can trust.
OTHER HALF IN A SECOND I NEED TO RESTART MY COMPUTER AND I DON'T WANT TO LOSE THIS

Ishi doesn't really have opinions on units? they are there. they bring food.
He can see that they'll be a good help when the team gets hurt, but other than that he has no inclination as of right now to actually reach out and interact with them.
This will probably change.

What is Ochre's least favourite team and why?

Least favorite team is probably still Epona.
Because Mayato.

I have one point of reference for this.
So take everything with the grain of salt that is 'idk, we've only seen likho, idk if he's out of type for ishi or what'.
That said, I figure Ishi would go for competence? Like- He wants a partner. Someone who can keep up with him, mentally and physically. The first time we got that 'oh no he's hot' moment was when Likho grabbed an arrow out of the air so, you know. It'd probably have to be someone who's independent, has their own thing going on, since Ishi has his whole. Religion. Thing.
Also, someone who he can spar with. And would be cool with his tiny adopted blue son, Bip.

He's obviously competent with weapons and had Alectryon's back when they were still around, which are qualities he can both admire and relate to. Bonus points for him keeping an eye on Maya, since she also matters a great deal to him. He doesn't really spar much in canon but that may be simply because he's like, the only guy who uses a sword in this age of guns. He definitely works out early every morning and if I thought he'd be sociable enough he'd probably invite him to come along. HE PROBABLY WON'T THOUGH, he's stupid.
He doesn't much care for the prying but that's typical of him, he doesn't like talking if he can avoid it - both because sharing feelings is complicated and difficult and not something he's ever really done, and also because he literally just hates the act of speaking. He's more accomodating here in Kyr, but it strains his voice and finds it awkward until people get used to it. LEARN SIGN LANGUAGE. He'll teach you.
On occasion he wishes he'd lighten up more or respond better to his teasing, but again, he's kind of a dick like that. He enjoys messing with people for laughs, like sneaking around to spook them or doing other stupid shit, and while people getting mad is part of the fun, he'd rather keep Ishiyama as a friend than push him away so he's dialed it back some.
If he finds out he can cook he'll probably never leave him alone JSYK, since he is incapable of it himself.
