As for the Naoto one-

Scared as shit, honestly. The first day was all nerves and crushes and 'oh god why', but once he went to bed and slept on it- and more importantly took that handful of sleep aid berries and spent a while staring at them- he's scared shitless. He knows what can happen in games, and while he knows some of the things their homeworld has, he knows it's nowhere near as bad as what can happen here.

The Haunt game kind of ground that in for him, he has no idea if Naoto has a persona or powers at all, and just seeing her in that situation- shit's rough. He's scared for her.

He feels much more at home with them, as a whole. Garnet coming back is really nice for him (though pat of him cynically wonders how long it'll be before she's in a mirror this time), and he's sort of connected properly with clover and callie, who he'd kind of given up on for a while. And of course he's got his whole 'heterosexual life partners' thing with Kaito, and the broness with Ochre, and TWO PATRONS, and...erm.

That girl he's working on bedding let's not get too far into ed on sapphire he really likes her ok.

So yeah he's really positive towards Tiamat as a whole, and trusts them as much or more than he's trusted any version of Tiamat since he lost his ability to blindly puppy-trust everyone that exists.

Okay so for the longest time Ochre had this. Thing. His rejection/insecurity complex thing.

Which has gotten a hell of a lot better? He still feels slightly different from the rest, but it's not so big a deal anymore. He's got his broness with Ed, he feels like he's slowly getting to know Sapphire better, Kaito's doing that 'teasing even when Ochre gets pissy' thing that helps a ton, he feels like he can trust Garnet with a hell of a lot, the Caretaker and Delriza are fantastic... Pretty much all he's missing are Callie (whose jokes far too often go over his head for his liking) and Clover (who threw hIM OFF THE DAMN BOAT!!! and is also distant and hard to get to know.)

Part of that is because I've been giving him shards that increase TEAMDERE by showing how close he was with his old team despite their differences, and part of it is just- time. Time and working with them, and growing to know them.

Ed can kidnap one person in Kyr to join Tiamat, with no repercussions, who is it?

And it's entire because of that damn 'beast' line, lbr. Judging people because of their appearances is kinda a Thing with Ochre because. It's Ochre. So knowing that the Caretaker actually thinks of himself as a beast pisses Ochre off. He's figured out how to tell people to go screw themselves, so knowing that the caretaker let that sink in and actually believes it means that he's planning on spending as much time as possible with the guy, and he will make the Caretaker believe he's a person, no matter what it takes. :I

Caretaker is now incredibly nervous about how he is going to react when he breaks the news to him, but he feels like he should. He's not quite ashamed of his past because he's spoken of it to Kaito and given bits of it to Clover. He's willing to tell the story because if he doesn't speak of it then it is like it never happened and he can't. . . disgrace the people he hurt by pretending it's not real. He knows what he is, he knows that he's a monster and he looks like one because of it (then again, if you ask caretaker he doesn't look like friendly doge but hideous werewolf kind of thing because warped self-image), but he doesn't. . . want to tell Ochre and have him agree. It's stupid?? Because he feels like he's always on the verge of getting shunned.

LIKE HE FIGURES, HONESTLY, that he has limited time with Tiamat so he's making the most of it. He knows that he served his purpose and eventually they're not gonna need him and he's going to be too much on Delriza. She needs the energy, she needs to reclaim her spot, and he needs to know when he's not welcome. HE'S JUST. . . AVIDLY AGAINST THE IDEA. But he'll go when told to, JUST NOT A MOMENT SOONER BECAUSE!!! CLINGING TO TEAM. I AM SORRY, THIS FUCKER IS THE WORST.

Oh my god, Caretaker, why. That's like- Ochre doesn't let people go. Ever. He has scarves for all of the old Tiamats who dropped on a shelf in his room, silver for Sword, rose pink for Amethyst, and a remade black one for Comet, just in case they ever come back. If any of his actual hard CR leaves, he will be a wreck, and that includes the Caretaker, now.

And, yeah, the Caretaker had better worry about Ochre finding out- Ochre will just be pissed that the Caretaker feels that way about himself. :I

I'm actually spending my vacation next week working on icons and registries so THANK YOU, FRIEND.

I've stared into the void that is Kanji icons so many times, since they'll tag it, and then have, like- one of him. So I'll gather like, fifteen tabs, and then realize that half of them are the same screenshot cropped slightly differently.

Long story short- I'm getting off my ass and watching the damn anime/finding the CG from the various games and making actual icons instead of using the game sprites and calling it damn well good enough.

MAYBE? IDK, there's a lot of weird blushing and awkward, because the last actual memory Ochre got back before Naoto showed up was, I fucking kid you not, this.

He didn't actually think they were that close, but now that she's gone, he realized how calming her presence was. He really looked up to her, and respected her so much. She always seemed really self aware, smart, and strong.
